I'm not imposing my views on you, but I am right and you are wrong. Whether you can see that or not doesn't matter. It was an exploit. End of story.

I don't have anything to be ashamed about. I worked hard to earn my protector of cantha and my grandmaster cartographer of cantha as well. Im also working on my Elonian titles as well. I dont really think ive tainted my character by cheating by doing the afk lightbringer. Its not like I used a program or anything to achieve it either. I had to discover it myself with only tidbits of information other people were willing to give out and had to correctly align positioning, timing, and being able to control my heros to aggro correctly. It may not have taken as much effort and time as the other titles (took me around 3 days until i got used to it) but I still had to put effort into what I did to be able to build up to the title he has now. And for the lucky / unlucky titles, there isnt much point besides having a huge sum of money because I dont know a single person who can buy 1,000 tickets and stare at his computer screen for 6 hours while he slowly builds up to a title.
It is after all just a game, and ment to be enjoyed by everyone, but everyone doesnt enjoy the exact same things. One person might like questing while another likes to do nothing but pvp. I enjoy farming and even though its nerfed I try (though very poorly) to create my own builds to work on and when I heard about afk farming i got interested about it immediately.
*right now im trying to develop a ride the lightning build but a prot spirit buts a stop to that in a second =/
EDIT* and of course i post this after 6 other posts come in...I hope it still makes somewhat sense

Ermm, contradiction much? "I'm not imposing my views on you, but you're wrong?"
Oh, and don't get me wrong, I don't disagree that it was an exploit, and of course it needed to be fixed. I just don't plan on ever using the points I got for anything, as, like I said, I just did it for the fun of it. Seriously, the character I did it on is probably never going to do any more missions in Elona, since I use it for things like farming. Sorry if that wasn't conveyed in my earlier posts. Yes, I know, I enjoy strange things and I do strange things, it's the way I am :P
What I'm trying to say is that I agree that it's an exploit and needed to be fixed because of those who would use it for profit. I just don't like it when someone tells me how I should play for pure fun.
To be clear: I'm not wishing they hadn't fixed it, I'm just saying that because they fixed it I can't have as much fun. But, as luinks above me says, did they really fix it? Even if they did, it's fine with me that it was fixed. I'm just disappointed that I don't have much else besides PvP to do, but that's my problem, not yours, so don't bother yourselves with it ^^
@Ernada: Don'tcha hate when you post about something someone said and they post just before you do? ><
NOTES ON EDITS: It seems like everytime I look at this post I realize I left something out...so I'll be fixing it when I feel I can say something better.

I dont think anyone was trying to impose their views on anyone. But when you're trying to deny that it was an exploit that needed/needs to be fixed, that's where you're wrong.
Youre AFK getting points, for crying in the mud. How is that not an exploit?

Well for those who havent done it already:
Dont update the game = keep afking = keep gaining LBP from being AFK.
Not everyone updates their game every time a new one comes along, unless these changes were streamed directly.
I never Afked for LBP as i have problems finding enough time to play/sleep as it is and electricity bills are stacking up, but is not hard for some one to come in and read about an update before deciding if they want to patch it asap or not.

Seen as I'm only R2 at the moment, need another 200 odd for R3 that would suit me fine.
I don't have the luxury of spending every waking hour playing the game though, I have work, a family and a social life to contend with.

Kalki, it's an exploit of the game system mechanics.
It's not, however, an exploit of a bug. You might want to get your facts straight.
They didn't "fix bug", they simply changed the game mechanics so it's not "exploitable" anymore.
It's no diffrent than them adding wurms and slowdowns to make Drok's run harder.

They change anything that they feel isn't going right, whether it was intended or not. The claim that anything they change is because it isn't working as intended is misinformed. Sometimes they make mistakes and intended isn't always "right". This is where alot of nerfs come in.
Either way I don't really care, I only AFK'ed for rank 4 then stopped, 4 is enough.

Dang it I just learned about it yesterday.
It still was good while it lasted. (I've yet to get to Rank 4 since the henchies managed to kill the monster last night)
All well it's one of those things that has to be nerfed even though you don't want it to

Wait... does this mean the duplicated versions no longer give lb points? That would suck. I never afk'd lb points, but whenever I go through an area I get quite a few duplicates, and that goes towards my honestly worked on r4. If I don't get points for that... I'm gonna really start hating the torment creatures. I hate it how things get nerfed for everyone because there's some people exploiting something.

Ok I'll remove the word "bug" from my post. Happy now? LOL
There's really no way to know if it was a bug or not, since Anet hasn't stated whether gaining LB points from spawned monsters was intended or not. If it wasn't intended then it is indeed a bug.
Sigh, I just hope this new area opens soon!

Depending on what kind of new content they add for farming lightbringer points, that may not actually be true.
If you still just have to kill torment monsters at 2x points, I really wouldn't call killing 25,000 skill. I'd say setting up the run takes more skill than just mindlessly killing 25,000 monsters. I mean, sure you call target and what not, but Torment land is pretty easy once you set up your heroes and what not.

I have to agree with what you say. Now it takes more endurance and patience to get the title instead. Almost any player (who's hanged around Realm of Torment for a week plus) can kill torments with a group of 8, but not every one of those players can set up an AFK farm properly. So as for 'skill', if all the posters in this topic had tried AFK farming, they'd have known what 'skill' actually meant.
